Social work is my passion and the means that have allowed me to help others. I believe that everyone has what they need to live a meaningful life and overcome struggles already built into them. During times of crisis, trauma, and pain, people are oftentimes unable to cope and lack the ability to identify the tools to get through those times. Undealt with, those emotions and experiences can then continue to affect you throughout life.

Therapy has the ability to transform lives and relationships and offers people the chance to become the very best version of themselves. Through our therapeutic relationship, I help you identify and navigate issues that are affecting your mental health, utilizing self-awareness to dig deep and find the tools to overcome those issues.

Through culturally competent and compassion-driven psychotherapy, I work with individuals, couples, and families who are experiencing difficulties that include anxiety, family issues, anger, depression, and behavioral issues. Utilizing evidence-based approaches, I help clients focus on treatment goals while encouraging self-determination. I am bilingual and enjoy working with clients in both English and Spanish.

Amanda Nichols

Director of Operations & Breathwork Facilitator

As Director of Operations at Work It Out Counseling and Wellness, I am dedicated to ensuring that our practice runs smoothly so our providers can focus on what matters most—helping clients heal and thrive. Alongside my administrative role, I also serve as a Breathwork Facilitator and life coach, specializing in Introspective Breathwork Therapy.

I am passionate about the power of the breath to support nervous system regulation, emotional healing, and self-discovery. In my sessions, I guide clients through breath-led practices that create space for release, resilience, and renewal. My approach combines evidence-based understanding of the mind-body connection with compassionate, individualized care, helping clients feel safe, seen, and empowered in their healing journey.

Whether through my leadership in operations or my work in the breathwork space, my goal is to create an environment where clients and providers alike feel supported, connected, and equipped to grow.

Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern

I have developed a deep passion for providing therapeutic services to a diverse range of clients, specializing in crisis intervention, substance use disorders, trauma, and complex mental health challenges. My experience in this field has been shaped not only by direct clinical work but also by my extensive volunteer efforts with Rollins Office of Title IX & Violence Prevention, where I designed and implemented innovative strategies to support survivors of sexual trauma. These experiences have reinforced my commitment to advocacy and healing, ensuring that those in need receive compassionate and effective care.

Beyond my counseling background, I have also honed my entrepreneurial skills as the Owner/Operator of Semper Fi Furniture. This venture has allowed me to blend business expertise with a deep commitment to social causes, particularly in supporting veteran suicide prevention and mental health awareness. My earlier service as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps instilled in me a strong foundation of leadership, resilience, and crisis management—qualities that have carried over into every aspect of my professional and personal life. I am honored to have received commendations such as the Naval Achievement Medal and a Presidential Citation, reflecting my dedication to service and excellence.

By combining military discipline, business leadership, and mental health expertise, I strive to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others. Whether through direct clinical work, advocacy, or entrepreneurial initiatives, my goal remains the same: to empower individuals, foster resilience, and create lasting positive change in the community.
