Rebecca Johnson - Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
Life can look fine from the outside while feeling overwhelming on the inside.
You may find yourself constantly overthinking, stuck in unhealthy relationship patterns, carrying the weight of grief, navigating a major life transition, or feeling exhausted from trying to hold everything together for everyone else. Sometimes people come to therapy knowing exactly what's wrong. Other times, they simply know they can't keep doing things the same way.
My approach is straightforward, compassionate, and practical. I believe therapy should be more than a place to talk about problems—it should help you understand why those patterns exist and give you tools to create meaningful change.
Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and person-centered techniques, I help clients identify the thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors that may be keeping them stuck. Together, we'll work to build healthier coping skills, stronger relationships, greater self-awareness, and a clearer sense of direction.
My experience includes working with adolescents and adults facing anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, women's issues, career concerns, grief, self-esteem struggles, and complex family dynamics. I've worked with individuals from many different walks of life, including those navigating significant personal, social, and systemic challenges. These experiences have reinforced my belief that every person's story deserves to be heard with respect, curiosity, and without judgment.
I don't believe therapy is about "fixing" people. I believe it's about helping people reconnect with their strengths, gain insight into what's holding them back, and move forward with greater confidence and intention.
Whether you're facing a difficult season, feeling disconnected from yourself, or simply ready for something to change, you don't have to figure it out alone.H
