Rebecca Johnson - Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
I am passionate about creating a warm, collaborative therapeutic space where clients feel calm, supported, and comfortable opening up, even when discussing difficult or sensitive topics. I believe that therapy should be client-centered and respectful of each person’s values, beliefs, and lived experiences. My goal is to meet clients where they are and walk alongside them as they work toward healing and growth.
I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with a Master’s degree in Counseling, and I primarily use a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach, integrated with mindfulness-based and person-centered techniques. My professional experience spans diverse settings, including children’s services, career counseling, women’s issues, and supporting individuals involved in the justice system. These experiences allow me to take a thoughtful, well-rounded approach tailored to each client’s unique needs.
I work with individuals, couples, families, children, and adolescents, and I strive to provide a non-judgmental space where clients can explore challenges such as anxiety, grief, life transitions, relationship concerns, and self-esteem. As a Florida native, I value balance and connection both personally and professionally, and I enjoy spending time outdoors, walking, and being at the beach. I am honored to support clients from diverse cultural and faith backgrounds as they build resilience, insight, and meaningful change in their lives.
