Sydni Rivera - Social Work Student Intern & Therapeutic Sound Practitioner
Caring for people has always been my life’s passion. I am dedicated to supporting others through challenges, and that commitment has guided my path into social work and wellness. I believe in meeting people where they are, offering compassion, creativity, and practical tools to help them move toward balance and growth.
Currently, I am a Master of Social Work intern at the University of Central Florida, completing my final year of graduate training. My professional background includes four years as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where I worked closely with children, adolescents, and adults on the autism spectrum. These experiences deepened my understanding of neurodivergence and strengthened my ability to provide patient, individualized care. My academic journey began at Central Piedmont Community College, where I studied Sign Language Interpretation, continued with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at UCF, and now culminates in my MSW training. This diverse foundation allows me to integrate accessibility, psychological insight, and advanced social work practice into my work.
In addition to counseling, I am certified in sound meditation and offer sessions for individuals, couples, and groups. I create restorative sound experiences that promote nervous‑system regulation, stress reduction, and emotional balance. Whether you are navigating trauma, adjusting to life transitions, or seeking the calming benefits of sound meditation, my goal is to provide care that meets you where you are and supports your journey toward well‑being.
